UMP and Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, Germany signed Cooperation Agreement on Dual Degree in Chemical Engineering Programme

Universiti Malaysia Pahang (UMP) and Mannheim University of Applied Sciences (HMA) signed a Cooperation Agreement that combined innovative strengths and capabilities of well-established universities in both Malaysia and Germany.
 
It would strengthen public trust towards UMP and its quality as a higher education institution, especially in Chemical Engineering and Process Engineering.
With the signing of this Cooperation Agreement today, both Universities agreed to offer an exchange based dual degree study programme in the field of Chemical Engineering beginning with fall term (September) 2024.
 
This cooperation agreement is based on the curricula of the two Bachelor programmes namely Bachelor of Chemical Engineering with Honours at Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology, UMP and BSc Process Engineering at Faculty of Process and Chemical Engineering, Hochschule Mannheim (HMA).
 
UMP was represented by its Assistant Vice-Chancellor of Centre for Corporate and Quality Affairs, Professor Ts. Dr. Kamal Yusoh, and Dean of Faculty of Chemical and Process Engineering Technology Professor Ts. Dr. Che Ku Mohammad Faizal Bin Che Ku Yahya, while Mannheim University of Applied Sciences Germany by its Rector Professor Dr Astrid Hedtke- Becker, Ann Müller (Head of International Office) and the Faculty Dean, Professor Dr. Ulrich Trägner.
 
Also present were Professor Dr. Werner Diewald, International Coordinator of Faculty for Process Engineering, Mannheim University of Applied Sciences, and representatives from both Universities.
